Two of the three verses in the song Come As You Are end with those words. The second verse ends with something similar: “Earth has no sorrow that heaven can’t cure”.
I don’t think Crowder ran out of words to use or things to say. I think he wanted to make a point. He wanted us to get it.
In these days when the earth and the people of earth seem so sick, God is still present and working to bring healing and peace in our midst. As I watch the TV and read all the posts and worry about people I care about and people I don’t even know, I have to remind myself again and again that I can lay down my burdens and try to trust God’s promise that joy comes in the morning.
Pray for the world – the whole world and your corner of it.
