Brad Wilson - LOG #2

Just before Christmas, I received a package and letter in the mail from Brad Wilson who attended LOG #2 back in 1997.

The letter said in part:

“After I graduated in ’98, my parents moved to Arkansas and I went to college near Chicago. I made it back to a LOG in 1999-2000 but have not been back since. However, that does not mean that I have forgotten about the program or the experience that I had during the event. To that end, one of the things I distinctly remember was the Agape feast so I immediately thought of LOG when the city that I work for (Finance Director for the City of Wood Dale, IL) was replacing all the street signs and I saw this one:

If Agape is still a defining part of LOG, maybe this sign will be of some use. If not, then simply know that my LOG weekend has indeed stuck with me all these years and I still reflect fondly upon that time and the people that were involved.”

This was both a surprise and a blessing since I had not had had any contact with Brad in nearly 20 years! After I reconnected with him, he sent a recent family photo and shared that he met his wife during his freshman year in college and they have now been married for over 16 years and have two great kids. Their son is about to make his confirmation and their daughter is on her way as well. Maybe he’ll send them back to attend a LOG when they are in high school.
