Hello there! I am Julie (Morey) Smith and I attended LOG #28 back in high school!
First off, I just want to say how grateful I am for the LOG program and how grateful I am to be a part of it still today! This program is how God pursued me and what kick-started my faith! It is so dear to my heart that I absolutely LOVE volunteering as an adult!
I grew up in South Bend and graduated from Clay High School in 2010 thinking I'd get my Communications degree from Bethel College. Little did I know, God had other plans for me.
I bounced around majors (and colleges) multiple times and eventually dropped out of school. Following my game of "musical majors" 4 years ago, it was a personal mission to get my health together. After losing over 50lbs, a multi-level marketing opportunity fell into my lap. I became passionate about Nutrition and Fitness and have since stuck to that path.
You can’t imagine my excitement when I met my husband (Alex Smith/Adams High School Class of '11/ADULT participant LOG 90!) and he was nothing but supportive and interested in learning about it as well.
Fast forward to 2018 when these two crazy kids (Alex and I) got engaged, married, and opened a business all in about nine and a half months! Using our platform of Nutrition, we opened a store front we called The Healthy Happy Place in Osceola, Indiana! It's a bright, positive environment we refer to as a Nutrition Club. Operating as a smoothie bar, we serve healthy meal replacement smoothies and sugar-free energy teas. We absolutely love our new home in Osceola and getting to be a bright spot in the community! In addition to the single consumption sales, we offer Nutrition Coaching and Support to anyone looking to use our products as a part of a healthy, active lifestyle.
It's a blessing to have support from our family and friends, as well as the freedom to design our lives around things important to us, like LOG! In fact, we have been happy to donate all our tips from the Nutrition Club to LOG this month!
God continues to show us our way with this journey and we are grateful and blessed with His plan for our lives!
